Bergamo will warm up the residents of Bucha municipality

The Italian city of Bergamo, twinned with Bucha, together with the humanitarian organization CESVI, will finance the creation of 11 invincibility points on the territory of Bucha municipality.


This was reported by the Embassy of Italy to Ukraine on its Twitter account.

The twinning pact between the two cities – Bucha and Bergamo – was signed in June 2022. Mayor of Bergamo, Giorgio Gori, is the honorary president of the CESVI foundation, which was one of the first to provide humanitarian aid to Bucha municipality in the most difficult days after the de-occupation.

Earlier, the Decentralization portal announced that on December 16 there will be an online presentation of the manual “Methodical recommendations for international municipal partnership”, developed in cooperation with MinRegion and the Council of Europe Program “Decentralization and Reform of Public Administration in Ukraine” and the electronic platform “Partnership for recovery and development”, developed in cooperation with the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Decentralization for the Development of Democratic Education” DECIDE and the U-LEAD with Europe Programme. Live broadcast will be available on the Facebook pages of MinRegion, the Council of Europe Program  ”Decentralization and Reform of Public Administration in Ukraine” and Decentralization portal.
