Communities can find funding for energy projects faster thanks to a new filter on the Green Platform

The Ministry of Economy reports that in order to achieve the objectives of the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), both decisions and access to funding are required. This is particularly important in the context of post-war restoration and EU accession.

Therefore, a new filter has been added to the Green Platform – the compliance of green financing programmes with the objectives of the NECP.

Using this filter, communities and businesses can quickly find funding programmes in key areas of state energy and climate policy. This simplifies the search and helps to identify programmes for specific projects more quickly.

Currently, the platform offers more than 120 relevant programmes from international financial organisations, the European Union, government agencies, and banks. They are grouped according to the following NECP dimensions:

  • internal energy market;
  • decarbonisation (development of renewable energy sources);
  • decarbonisation (reduction of greenhouse gas emissions);
  • research, innovation, and competitiveness;
  • energy resilience;
  • energy efficiency.

The Green Platform is a practical tool for the implementation of the NECP. It helps businesses and communities to find funding for projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy, decarbonisation, and enhancing energy resilience. The platform also contributes to the achievement of the climate goals of Ukraine.

For reference. The Green Platform was created and launched in July 2025 by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in cooperation with the Green Transition Office and the DiXi Group think tank, with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.

Over the past six months, about 26,000 visits have been made to the platform, and the number of active users has exceeded 3,000. This indicates high demand for structured information on green finance and the platform’s relevance for supporting businesses and communities.
