What is needed for quality change in hromada management and implementation of innovative solutions? First of all, new leaders are required. The DOBRE Programme invites young initiative people from partner hromadas to take part in the youth school “DOBRE-LID: Leadership, Ideas, Democracy” and become such leaders. School attendees will have the opportunity to strengthen their leadership potential, gain insight of good governance, see how success can be achieved in local self-government and change the lives of their hromadas. And all this will be organised in an interactive form of simulation sessions, creative tasks, solving real hromada problems. School graduates will understand why and how they can contribute to the implementation or improvement of governance practices in their hromadas, will be able to generate ideas and projects to solve hromada problems, learn how to put into practice their potential, bring benefits to their hromadas and have the chance to become genuine local leaders ready to take leadership positions in their AHs.

The main topics of the school include good governance, public supervision and integrity, problem solving, design thinking for non-standard solutions.

Terms and conditions. We invite young people aged 16 to 35, living on the territory of AHs, participating in the DOBRE Programme, to join the competition. Full list is available here and here. Selection of participants will be carried out on a competitive basis. To take part in the competition, please fill in the online application form. By submitting the application, the applicant agrees with the terms of participation in the project. Incomplete and untimely submitted applications will not be considered. The deadline for submission of applications is 11 February 2018.

The groups of participants will be determined by the organisers on the basis of the information received from the applications in order to ensure equal regional representation and enable the participants to establish contacts with the youth from AHs from other oblasts. The DOBRE Programme provides accommodation and meals for participants during their school studies, and reimburses the fare for the provided railway/bus tickets.
