The process of hromadas’ amalgamation in Ukraine is gaining momentum. 665 AHs were established and are now developing and studying to manage successfully. The Vinnytsia Oblast has 34 AHs, but there is an interest and desire to amalgamate among the settlements of all rayons of the oblast.

Recently, a large meeting has been held in the Culture Club of the urban-type settlement of Trostyanets – 400 people joined the event on amalgamation of hromadas of the rayon with the participation of representatives of the oblast and rayon authorities, settlement and village heads, experts in decentralisation, local budgets and regional development of the Vinnytsia Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme”. According to the Perspective Plan, three AHs with centres in Trostyanets, Obodivka and Kapustyany are to be established in the rayon.
