On 21-22 February, the Cherkasy Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, hosted the first workshop – a handicraft seminar “Workshop of Cooperation of Hromadas in the Cherkasy Oblast”. The event was attended by over 50 representatives of the Cherkasy, Kamyanka, Smila and Chyhyryn Rayons, as well as the Bilozirska, Rotmystrivska, Kamyanska and Stepankivska AHs.

“The main goal of this event is to help improve the lives of our hromada residents through cooperation,” says Serhiy Slynko, director of the Cherkasy LGDC. “Through cooperation, hromadas get new opportunities and save their own resources. Already today, our hromadas agree on the establishment of joint methodological offices, purchase of common machinery to carry out agricultural and communal works, etc. Thus, we hope that after our workshops in the oblast, new cooperation agreements will be concluded and successfully implemented.”
