The leaders in using funds of the State Road Fund are the Zaporizhzhya, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattya, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa Oblasts, the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure reports with reference to the words of Minister Volodymyr Omelyan.

The State Road Fund operates in Ukraine from 1 January 2018. According to Volodymyr Omelyan, it is the Road Fund that envisages guaranteed financing of road works.

Also, on 1 January, the decentralisation of Ukravtodor took place – 123,000 km of motorways were transferred to the regional and local levels. The subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the financial provision of construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of general use roads of local importance, streets and roads of communal property in settlements is UAH 11 billion 530 million 865.2 thousand in 2018. As of 23 May, UAH 3 billion 952 million was sent to the accounts of Oblast State Administrations. Expenditures of Oblast State Administrations amounted to only UAH 934.5 million, which means that UAH 3 billion 17 million 944 thousand remains on the accounts.
